KidZone opened its doors in September 2006 with only two children – one infant and another in the age group of 2 to 4 years – and within one year, 28 more children were enrolled.
Soon, the nursery started gaining popularity and began to be liked by parents and children. Eventually, there came the need for additional classes. In November 2007, two new classes were launched – one for toddlers (15 months to 2 years) and another for children preparing to join primary school (3 to 4 years). Additionally, more qualified and experienced staff members were hired to cater to the increased enrolment.
By September 2008, the nursery was running at its full capacity and there were a large number of children on the waiting list. Therefore, to meet the demand of parents and to accommodate more children, KidZone further expanded in November 2011 by adding three classrooms and an indoor play space. By the end of the year, the nursery was talking care of over 150 children.
In 2014, the rising demand for enrollment at KidZone necessitated moving to a bigger facility. Under the patronage of His Highness. Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, and the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Chairman of Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone (RAKEZ), a branch of the KidZone nursery was opened in Al Dhait. The communities in both areas benefited as KidZone continued to expand and provide excellent daycare and learning programmes to more and more children.
Since its humble beginnings in 2006, there has been no looking back! KidZone continues to provide excellent daycare, a positive learning environment and the latest framework of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum to its children.
